Canon Xi problem
My budy has a Canon Xi and just a couple of days ago he went to capture using sony vegas 6, after capturing the tape, he rewinded the tape back and discovered that everything on the tape was erased, no sound, no video, no timecode. If anyone has any ideas why it is doing this, please feel free answer back.
Thanks. Travis. |

Your friend needs to do some work to narrow down the problem. Shoot some test video and confirm that the camcorder can actually record video. Then try to capture it using Vegas.
1. If the camcorder is unable to record contact Canon to get it repaired. 2. If the camcorder can record, and it's a software problem, we have a great Vegas forum here. 3. If everything works fine, then it sounds like user error. My personal opinion is that no time code at all sounds like user error. It sounds like he just forgot to press the record button. ** Can you confirm if your friend captured and can see video from the "no time code" tape?
