glass filters
Hey folks
Are 4mm thick 4x4 glass filters worth $150 more than the 2mm filters? And secondly, will 2mm filters fit in the Cavision matte box? Thanks |

Here's my understanding of the issues. A thicker filter is in theory, a little more rugged. However, neither one is going to survive a drop to a hard floor. Again, in theory, the thinner filter should produce a sharper image. I think economic reality should rule (along with common sense) and get the less expensive filters. I'm under the impression that the Cavision matte box will accept the 2mm filters, but you had best check with them.
