Pocket Promptor-any users?
Guys,
I'll be looking to do training videos and docs later on,and am in the market for a promptor device of some kind in order to have something for my talent or experts, etc,to read.I've read the posts on using a laptop with text software-problem is,I'll be moving the PD 150 around and about quite frequently,so static shots are not always possible.Seems our Canadian friends have developed something quite useful called the Pocket Promptor, and can be found at www.pocketpromtor.tv. However, anyone have any experience with this little jewel? Like to hear some real world feedback as part of the purchasing process,Thanks... |

Well, I haven't used one, but like you have read about it a lot. It's so cool I want one, but don't have a burning need for one. You also have to buy a PocketPC of some sort to go with it...apparently doesn't work on Palm software.
I could have used one a few months ago...we did a long teleprompter thing with a male and female on camera, and there were shots where I took off the 'prompter and moved in hand held for distorted closeups as an effect. They had to memorize those lines. The only thing is, it appears to be designed for cameras like the 150/250 etc. You have to have an internal focus lens (which I don't on the 500) |
