Ink Jet Printable discs problem

I am having problems with any inkjet printable disc that I try burning. Both the Taiyo Yudens and Ridata brands.

Any thing I burn without this surface work fine.

Any one have this problem? Any solutions to make them work?

Honestly, unless you are sticking them upside down, there should not be a difference. I have used both brands before, with and without inkjet-compatible tops and have not had any problems besides the odd bad burn or bad disc.

I know that most burning software (like Nero) have a non-destructive test "burn" option that you may want to try and see if they also fail in that mode.

Otherwise, try and find out if there is newer firmware for the drive and update the drive. Else I would suspect a problem with the drive.

I have two DVD burner/drives and both have updated firmware.

Same results from both.
