Sony fx240 NEED Help
Hey guys,
My friend Scott just bought a sony fx240 analog camcorder and he is having a problem with it only recording in black and white. It will play a prerecorded color tape in color but only records in B/W. Any suggestions? He has tried different tapes etc. Thanks in advance Marc

It could be a loose ribbon cable connecting two of the boards or an IC with a bad connection (bad solder). Time to send it back to Sony.
