Best Program for Capturing in

I have a Sony MiniDV Digital HanyCam, its about a one and half years old.

Ive been capturing a lot of clips from Video Games such as Halo 2. I put them from my camera onto my computer using a Firewire.

Does anyone know what program i should use in order to get the best possible capturing and render quality?

currently i just use windows movie maker for capturing because it is so much easier than vegas.

thanks a lot, and please reply.

P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section, i didnt know where else to put it.

It is best to capture using the same application that you edit with.

That has been my experience.
