Sounds like Joe Piscopo. LOL Honestly, not bad. You need to sound more monotone and speak slower I think

haha, I played CS (CounterStrike) with guy who could pull off the voice flawlessly, which made playing the game hard cause of all the laughing from being insulted by this "voice", followed with something like "THIS SUMMER ON THE WB!!" or "IT'LL BE THE WHITE KNUCKLED THRILLRIDE OF THE YEAR!!"

Not too bad. Add some music and let's hear the mix. Below is a great site with the big boys on it with alot of their demo reels. Just click on house reels at the top, choose an agency, then a voice. If you know specific names like Don LaFontaine, Hal Douglas, Will Lyman, Mike Rowe, etc. just type them in the search.

There was a really funny clip that had all of those guys in the same video. It was a skit where the same limo is coming to pick them all up to go to some awards ceremony.

James, I found the clip.
"Movie Voiceovers - The Super Team What happens when you get a limo and fill it with the most popular movie trailer voiceover artists in all of Hollywood? You get the Movie Voiceover Super Team, that’s what." http://www.evtv1.com/index.asp-itemnum-1297 You'll have to run through a couple hoops (ads) and a slow load to see it.

When your friend does your voiceover...
Made a little video with the kids for their school project a bit ago, and got a neighbor to do the voice-over. Check it out:
http://www.ninaandranda.com and then click on the preview to play it. The guy was awesome. (And actually, this is what he does for a living, but can't say his name cause those unions sometimes frown on this kinda thing.) But there's those stock phrases you need in trailer talk, this guy covered the bases. |

Keith, if you hadn't warned me about the wait, I would have never stuck around to see it. Then after the wait of at least 60 seconds with absolutely no indication of the feature to follow, it suddenly pops up and plays with audio that is compressed enough to distort their voices. And that was the high speed version! They need to at least create something that says please wait while the feature loads. They just need to find a better delivery solution than that, period!
Other than that, it was great to see all of those top voices in one place. Don was the first one. That man makes $275-$300 every time he opens his mouth in a studio! They sure don't look like their voices do they? Thanks again for that link! |
