Best Quciktime File conversion from large file
I have a 1.6 GB 3 min file in Quicktime that I want to have people watch adn/or download, but bits WAY TOO big. What is the best way to downconvert it but keep good quality to maybe under 50mb or less?
Please help ! ! Thanks Duke

Make a Streaming Version of it.
Are you familiar with Cleaner XL or Canopus ProCoder these products let you create streaming version of quicktime movies. Google them up and download working demo copies and see if it does what you need.

You could just import those huge files into Vegas, or whatever NLE you like, and then just re-render them with a different Quicktime template, or use DiVX or a similar codec to compress the video in an AVI stream. I have trimmed some HUGE files down to pretty manageable sizes that way, especially if you tweak the resolution of the video a bit. You might also try the Windows Media 9 codec, it actually works pretty well, and isn't as lossy as some of the others.
If you are stuck on keeping the .mov format, the last two are useless, but that's what I would do. |
