English to spanish translation/V.O.
I have a video in witch the host is speaking in English and I need to have some one come in and lay down a V.O. in Spanish so I can lay the Spanish voice on top of the English Voice "like in the movies sometimes". Has anyone ever done this before??? What is the procedure? I realize I need a Spanish V.O. Talent and I already have the English Version translated in text. I'm thinking about just going paragraph by paragraph and just getting the timing right...

similar
Hello Pat, we did something similar at my friend's music studio. However, we did it the hard way,(I would imagine there is a better way). We loaded the clip in Nuendo and with a monitor in the sound booth (after tons of practice), the talent spoke the VO (in Spanish as well) while watching the video.
It turned out OK, It sounded like those movies with spanish VOs ;-). There is always something to be said about the "spoken" expressions that are difficult to capture this way. Hope this helps. Jim |
