DVX/xl2 pricing help

I'm planning on selling my GL2 and buying a new camera within the next month or so. I really hope my camera doesnt depreciate within the next month as well, hah...Hoping to sell for 1,600 ish or so with all the accessories and such.

Im not really sure if BH photo is one of the websites sponsers so sorry if its not. now, the dvx100a is 3,029 and the XL2 is 3,999. Since the new HD XL is coming out, im guessing the price will drop, and even someone from EVS said it would. now, if i wait till the price drops, does anyone know if the DVX will remain in price or will the rebate not be offered anymore? Im still a bit undecided if i wanna dish out the extra cash for the xl2 or not, so thats why it involves both camera prices. Can anyone help me out a bit? What would you do in my situation.

I don't know if either the XL-H1 or XL-2 prices will drop, but I suspect they won't. The street price on the XL series has been about the same since the XL-1...

THe price of the XL2 won't drop with their HD version because the price difference is too big (3999 vs 8999)

Agreed. The XL H1 is not going to affect the market for the XL2 or its price.
