I bought some ‘new’ guitar strings.

Inside the packet probably old stock was a little sheet of paper which reads ...

"Blistered fingers, lack of sleep, beer stained clothes, No drink tickets (huh?) flat tyres, no soundcheck, no monitors, broken strings, deaf soundmen, smelly van, miles of boring highway, dead 9v batteries, lead singer's disease, lethal B.O., crashing on floors,*‪2 a.m.‬*load-outs, fugly groupies, drummers(!) It’s all worth it!"

‘Lead singers disease’ *Made me laugh! Brings back the memories, huh?

And I got replies from the guys, some I can’t send on, but ...

I used to play in a band behind chicken wire, to protect the audience not us.

I knew a lady rock singer who dropped acid then snorted a birth control pill. She called it a trip without the kids.

Hi Andrew. Nope she’d be a local gal. ‘Lead singers disease’ got me going, haven’t heard that for years.

I’d like to post some other replies but they’re wild and too much for the forum.
