Safe to store batteries plugged in charger?
Hello, I had the notion that you shouldn't store batteries (AA, AAA, camera batteries etc.) plugged into a battery charger for long time, is that true? Anybody knows? Does it drain them?

Re: Safe to store batteries plugged in charger?
It depends on the circuit design of the charger. I never store batteries connected to the charger.
My Sony editing laptop definitely drains the battery if I leave the un-powered AC adapter connected to both the turned off computer and the switched off uninterruptible power supply. So I turn off the UPS and after the light on the computer AC adapter fades out, I unplug the DC plug from the computer. If I don't do this the computer will be at very low battery in a few days. If I do unplug it, the computer will still have full power after a week or more. |

Is it safe for you or your batteries? No, not ether one.
Kind Regards, Steve
