Low end consumer GOOD camera with AUDIO INPUT
Hi,
I am looking for a consumer camera that could work as an emergency backyp camera. I have a PANASONIC SD60 thats quite good. Decent video quality, easy to use manual controls, etc. What I am missing is AUDIO INPUT (either MIC or even better LINE levels). Anybody can suggest a camera (old.. 3-4 year model will work fine) that can work next to that one? Maybe even from the same Panasonic series so colours are the same... but WITH AUDIO INPUT ? Thanks to all |

Re: Low end consumer GOOD camera with AUDIO INPUT
Hi Marcello,
I've been using Panasonic SD700 & SD750 cameras for several years and still use them as B cams now. They have mic in and headphone out and I also frequently use them with a radio mic receiver for schools work. There is a menu based audio input level control which will help match your plugged in equipment. They will have more flexibility than your existing cam and can be picked up used around the price you are looking at. I think there is also an SD 800 which uses the same internals. Mine have been heavily used and abused and are now dented and scratched, but still just keep plodding on as reliably as ever. Roger |
