Card Backups. Alternative to Disk Utility.
Not entirely sure where to ask this.
Up until El Capitan we used Disk Utility to create a DMG backup of each media card to a server dedicated to backups. The updated Disk Utility no longer allows multiple backups to run at once and also doesn't allow us to save directly to the server. It's useless. Looking for alternatives. Would be interested to hear what other professionals use. I've had a look at Carbon Copy Cloner but i'm not convinced it's right for us. |

Carbon Copy Cloner works fine, definitely good for fast transfers with a modest checksum pass. Cannot beat Shotput Pro, however. I use it all the time, mostly relegating CCC for doing backups of projects off my edit drive to my archive RAID.
