How to Properly Transfer Files to External
I just got a ThunderBay (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1075758-REG/owc_other_world_computing_12tb_4_x_3tb.html) for my work space and I am needing a little bit of assistance in getting it going.
I have it all set up, but I want to begin transferring all my Final Cut media over to it so that I can just begin editing off of it and so that I can free up all my space on my computer. The HD on my computer is completely full so I need to figure out a way to get everything over to this new drive properly. Anyone have any experience with this? |

Re: How to Properly Transfer Files to External
Is "manually copy/click and drag your file structure as-is from the computer to the OWC and then re-link in Final Cut" too simple of an answer?
That's what I've always done... But I prefer to manually backup/copy everything anyway. I do use time machine, but only for my system drive. |
