Backing Up Media

Apologies if I'm in the wrong place.

We back up all rushes to 4TB internal HDDs via a dock.

The current dock we're using is shoddy. It takes 8 hours to transfer 4TB (although this is probably more to do with our server).

Are there any professional/high quality docking products out there? Ideally something that'll reconnect a drive should it become disconnected.

We've used a lot of Startech products in the past and have found them to be cheapily build and unreliable.

Also can anyone recommend any software for transferring? The Mac OS transfer is basic and the moment it throws up an error it cancels the whole transfer.
