Outdoor DVR with 18+ Hour Battery & Continuous Recording at DVinfo.net

I'm looking for a DVR that will run on battery for 18+ hours and that will record continuously (no motion detect switching off and on), although I don't mind if it breaks up the files into 30 minute (or so) increments. The use will be outdoors and temperatures between 20 and 100 F are possible. A weatherproof unit would be best, but an enclosure is an option. I'm not too concerned with the field of view, although I really don't want fish-eye or extreme wide angle. I really only need one camera, although the option of attaching 3 or 4 would be nice.

I could use any of the off-the-shelf POV (sport) cameras, but I haven't found one having an internal battery that lasts more than 3 hours or will record when connected to an external battery. (I've considered hacking a POV camera to just add a larger battery, but haven't gone that far yet.)

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
