Sony Anycast Station: Logo Help
Hi All,
I am using the older Sony Anycast Station (AWS-G500) which has since been discontinued. I have only started using the logo feature for a few productions, however I am having an issue with the size of the logo being displayed. Sony has a restriction on the dimensions of the logo being 160px x 120px. The logo I want to use measures 120x40 so it meets the dimensions with room to spare. When it is displayed through the anycast however, the complete logo appears, but it is sized too small, almost half the size that it should be. I am exporting the file as a .tif with alpha at 160x120 with square pixels. Is there anything I can do to make it the proper size? The old way of using the graphic at the proper size was to use it with the DSK, but it was cumbersome and looked odd having to switch back and forth between a graphic with the logo in it, and just the logo graphic. Thanks Mark |

Re: Sony Anycast Station: Logo Help
Mark,
I had better luck with .bmp and .jpg files. Your .tif might be the problem. The Anycast is very limited and picky. Steve

Re: Sony Anycast Station: Logo Help
I managed to get some more time in with the anycast today. I adjusted the pixel aspect ration in photoshop and I was able to get a slightly bigger picture. The only success I have had with graphics is with .TIFs. Targa (.tga) seem to be a bit fiddily with keeping their alpha channel in the anycast. I managed to get the logo about 90% proper size, but will keep trying next time I am able to use the machine. The logo I have to use has transparent sections and shadows. I don't know if a bmp or jpg would work to key out clean but will give it a go next time.
Thanks Mark |
