Short flexible HD-SDI cable recommendation

I need a short (4-6') HD-SDI cable to feed SD or 720p60 from a camera to a TVU backpack. The cable my station "makes" is extremely thick, and about as flexible as a pencil. It;s constantly pulling itself free from the end, and electrocuting me via the exposed frayed shielding!

Tried an old RG58 BNC cable from Radio Shack, but it produced freezing, pixelation, etc. Looking for the thinest lightest most flexible cable for this application. Thanks!

Paul

I've bought a bunch of these cables over the years.

BELDEN 83264, 75 Ohm RG179, RG-179 MIL-C-17G BNC-59 Male to Male Cable, 60".

Belden 83264 75 OHM RG179 RG 179 MIL C 17G BNC 59 Male TO Male Cable 60" | eBay

Really well made, flexible and Mil Spec as well. I've only ever broken one because of my stupidity and that was because I moved a piece of switching kit not realizing a cable was still attached. I seem to recall that if you contact them they will make cables of any length to order.

+1 for Belden. For me, in a flexible RG59 application, you can't beat 1505F for "shorter" runs.

Re: Short flexible HD-SDI cable recommendation

I'm looking for a couple that are REALLY short - maybe 3 to 6 inches. Just have to connect two BlackMagic mini converters (Component to SDI and SDI to HDMI) that are gaffer taped together! Actual "run" would be about 3/4".

Any ideas?

This is a small company doing custom work, and their Megaflex cable is becoming the go-to for Steadicam and gimbal operators who demand a super-flexible BNC:
