Following all the new cameras at NAB the WALLEY POS has all the features you'll need...

I already preordered, I just have to be the first one that gets it.

Awesome parody. It's amazing the work that can be done these days by talented people armed with current tools, even if it's just to poke fun.

We should all count ourselves lucky. I still have my company's first "portable" video camera from the mid-1970's, purchased long before I arrived there in early 1987. It's not much different, except instead of an actual viewfinder it used a gunsight-like device attached to the side of the camera to aim it! Oh, and it was composed of the main camera with non-detachable umbilical that ran about 8 feet to the power and output connector unit. AC-power only. Recording? Only if you attached the output to a giant U-Matic deck.
So in reality, the WALLEY would have been a fantastic step UP!

It's brilliant.

Their "Senior Marketing Director" is just so convincing - you have to watch it twice to really appreciate how he's not saying anything untrue, but is equally using language to make it seem so appealing - when it obviously isn't! :-) Marketing spin at it's best!

I don't think I'll ever again be able to watch a real salesman give their presentation without thinking of this.....
