Canon J15ax8B4 lens repair
I have a Canon J15ax8B4 ENG lens with a zoom ring that sticks a bit when rotated. The control handle is not attached so its not the manual switch. Does anyone know of a DIY fix or a good place to send it for reasonably priced repair. I suspect it only needs to be partially disassembled and cleaned but I am not about to attempt that myself.

Re: Canon J15ax8B4 lens repair
Hey Jim,
You should check around with some of the California rental companies. They might have a lens repair tech locally. Canon has a repair center on the east coast that I have used. I stopped buying Canon 2/3 inch glass for the most part when I found I was returning to the repair shop for rebuilds a little too often for my tastes. Usually the cost of repair is higher than you would like but less than looking for another lens. Good Luck |
