VOD pay per view
I have a client who wants to monetize their video assets. They have very good video presentations with PowerPoint and would like to set up a system to charge people to view the videos online. They have a WordPress web site. Any suggestions?

Re: VOD pay per view
If they want to host their own system they could create a PPV system using aMember and its wordpress module (securing sections or pages that require payment). Or, they could go with Vimeo on Demand, which is the simplest method. If they host their own, it will need an SSL cert and payment processing. For the latter I recommend Stripe as it handles both subscriptions as well as single payments with low processing fees.

Re: VOD pay per view
Hi folks, perhaps I'm missing the thread (reviewed the thread Selling Video downloads) that really talks about Video On Demand? I'm assuming there's a bunch of filmmakers on here. I'm curious about options available.
Anyone use Vimeo On Demand? iTunes? Amazon Video Direct? And any other alternatives? Anyone prefer one over the other? Any reason in particular like customization options, percentage on purchase, etc. |
