Buying a camera from Japan
Has anyone in the US bought a camera from Japan?
I'm thinking of doing so. I am aware it won't have a warranty. I'm just curious if anyone has done so, and is there a problem importing a video camera through US customs? Would I have to pay duties? If you did so, do you recommend it? |

Re: Buying a camera from Japan
You WILL have to pay duties.
Check your customs and imports website. In the UK, Imports, VAT & duties information is all available on the HMRC website. So check the US equivalent. If it's from a reputable seller I don't see why there would be any problems as long as you're happy to settle the bill. |
