Canon Camcorder (ZR200) won't open

I'm using this camcoder as a VCR to play my XL1s mini DV, but I'm not sure how to insert the tape. Yes, the manual is really crappy. any1 know how?

Hello Hai,

Make sure the battery is charged. When you press the eject button, that outer door has to swing all the way wide open. If the handgrip is cinched too tightly, you might not be able to do this. Loosen the velcro on the handgrip and swing the outer door all the way open. You should hear the camera "ding" at this point and then the loading mechanism will pop out. Insert the tape. Push the top part of the tape loading mechanism where it says "push here." It should retract fully into the camera body. Then you can close the outer door, and you're good to go. Hope this helps,
