Dead CR 2016 3V button battery
I recently bought a 2 battery pack for my remote. Upon installing the battery, it didn't work. I changed batteries, and the second one also didn't work. I thought something was wrong with my remote. I pulled out my voltmeter and checked the voltage on both batteries. 1.5V??? Further tests revealed that it maintained a solid 1.5v. I googled the battery and found quite a few people complaining about their "dead" batteries. I think the problem may be that 1.5 batteries were erroneously packaged as 3V. Beware!

Re: Dead CR 2016 3V button battery
I just realized that I could have stacked two batteries together to get 3v. However, since I already disposed of the batteries, I'll have to get new ones to see if they fit into the holder.

Re: Dead CR 2016 3V button battery
Thanks for the heads up Warren. The reverse packaging could be worse, sending 3V down a 1.5V circuit.
Cheers.
