Wall color in green screen studio

My small basement green screen studio is shaping up...

Now the question is, what color should I paint the walls? I am asking about the rest of the room, not the green screen (which is going to be Green Screen @ Chroma-Key.com).

Thank you,

I'm dealing with the same situation.
My first thought would be white to avoid color pollution,
but I'm no expert.

Paint everything else the flattest black you can. Keep all stray light to a minimum.

I'm with Chris. Flat black. You don't want green light bouncing around in the room.

In fact, when shooting closeups, avoid lighting the entire greenscreen. Light the minimum to minimize green splash. Also, the further your actors are from the screen, the better to avoid spill.

Another vote for black. If you're going to use the studio for anything else, then you could go with white walls and a black drape system. I went through this last year and did a ton of research, found the search in this forum very useful ;-)

One problem I also had was shiny hardwood flooring, which really caused big problems with green reflections.

Re: Wall color in green screen studio

Hope you'll post some photos of the completed room. I enjoy seeing what people build!
If others feel the same maybe we should have a "Show Your Space" thread for showing studio spaces, sound booths, and editing bays. Lots of the audio forums have this.
