Vertical rack mount DVD player
Hi, not sure if this is a good place to ask this question...
We have searched high and low for a professional rack-mountable DVD player that can reliably play DVDs in the vertical position. Unless it has a special tray design, it would have to be a "slot load" type mechanism. I find lots of CD players like this, but not DVD. (We have a sound/video booth with a rack build into the counter top - which mounts the equipment vertically.) The requirements are: - Vertical rack mount - HDMI outputs - Front panel controls (implied by rack mount, I guess) Blu-ray would be nice, but not required. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Re: Vertical rack mount DVD player
Welcome to the forums Mark. If you can't locate one there's a few TV sets with vertical DVD players.
But in lieu of more answers try a Google. HTH. Cheers.

Re: Vertical rack mount DVD player
Thanks. Googled for hours before I posted here... "vertical DVD", "slot load rack mount", ... and every variation. Taking one out of a TV is not likely an option as I need HDMI output and I doubt an internal DVD player would use that (but if anyone knows otherwise, I would be interested... I can do the mechanical adaptation).

Re: Vertical rack mount DVD player
Have you thought of an XBOX 360. The base systems I believe have HDMI out. The only problem is I never seen a rack mount for them, but you may be able to make or convert something.
