Rebates nearing the deadline? at DVinfo.net

Just a quick inquiry to anyone who knows what will happen, or a general idea. I'm mainly concerned with the GL2 $250 rebate and the Panasonic DVC30 $200 and DVX100a $500 rebates which both expire on Sept. 30. What do you guys think will happen?
Either
a.) continue the rebates for another extended period of time (most likely)
b.) drop the rebates and sell at normal prices again
c.) offer a new, higher rebate (i wish)
0r
d.) discontinue the camera and release a newer better version (i wish more)
I realize the GL2 is more likely to see some action (it being a 2002 model) but not sure about the Pany's. Just wanted some expert feedback. Thanks everyone!

I also just noticed that the majority of vendors just raised the price of a GL-2 $100 within the past month. What gives?
