Video Capture Has No Audio
I transferred a VHS tape to miniDV, then attempted to capture the video via firewire.
The audio did not transfer. On the camcorder, the audio appears fine. Other miniDV tapes capture fine. Any ideas? Thanks...Alan |

Re: Video Capture Has No Audio
Hi Alan,
You don't mention which DV camera you have. While 48k is the standard for DV audio, some cameras can also capture 32k audio. Maybe your VHS transfer is 32k and therefore not capturing with the NLE set to 48k? Your NLE setup should offer both - try the 32k capture setting once and see what happens. Re: Video Capture Has No Audio
I'm using a Canon ZR200.
I've tried WinDV, VirtualDub and Vegas 8.0. VirtualDud is the only one where I see what the audio is set at (32000). For the other two, I see no audio options. Alan |
