GYDV550U Repair
Im having to replace regulator pc board and a power supply pc board on this camera.
Parts are 135.00 and 39.00 respectively. Labor is 570.00. Is this a bit high for what has to be done? |

Re: GYDV550U Repair
Jim,
While the camera still produces a great image you can find the 500s on the big auction site that starts with E for around the same amount as you will pay for repairs, perhaps slightly more. Is it worth it? Only you can answer that. If you still need to use the camera and can still make money with it, then I suppose it is. The parts that need to be RnRd don't seem like something you can attempt to do yourself and skilled labor costs'. Personally I'm happy to pay skilled labor to fix things that I have no business opening up, like the vacuum cleaner when I was a little kid. ;-0 I guess it's a matter of is it worth it to you but on the surface the pricing seems about right to me.
