Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
This is a topic of discussion that comes up fairly frequently and has been answered at GREAT length here at DVInfo. Using the Google Search dialog box at the bottom of the page returned these threads:
dvd printer - Google Search Hope this helps!

Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
Hey Kevin
If you are not fussy then really any brand name printer that has a disk tray will satisfy your requirements. They are cheap as chips and all give good results. If you are really fussy then do as Shaun says and check out the threads here and then make your choice. Printer choice is much like cars... it's a personal thing..I like Epsons but other will swear by Canon or HP and the list goes on and on!!! For basic CD or DVD inkjet prints all will do a satisfactory job Chris |

Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
Thanks for the input guys. I read some of the old threads prior to posting but as John mentioned many of the printers are obsolete or no longer in production. I'm looking for a standalone dvd /cd printer. I have seen inexpensive thermal printers on ebay, but none that I looked at had great reviews, so i'm still looking.

Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
Pretty much any Epson will do the job. I've had 3 over the years. 2 R200s that worked until they died after about 2000-2500 DVDs each. 90% were full face prints as well as 8X10 prints for othr work and the usual B&W printing of all kinds of invoices etc.
I've been using an R300 for about 3 years now pretty much the same as the 200s except it's bigger so now I can do prints up to 13X19 and I've run about 1500 to 1700 DVDs thru it. I've bought enough ink to keep Epson in business and I should have gotten a CSS for it but I haven't. I also don't have a single complaint about the quality of the printer. I think you'll find most of us are using printers that are anywhere from 1 to 3 years old. Not much new in way of printers. As long as they're working why change.

Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
I have an Epson 1400 but probably the cheapest option is an Epson Artisan 50.
Currently $129 at B&H. Alan |

Re: Can anyone reccomend a dvd printer?
I just realized I goofed in my post. My current machine is the R1400. Only 1100 numbers off. :-(
It's hell to get old. R1400, R1400, R1400, zzzzzzzzz
