To HDV or not to HDV?
Hi
So, I'm in the market for a camcorder, and I've looked at a whole whack of options. What's making the decision process so difficult is not knowing wether I should go with HD or SD. The HD camera I'm looking at is the Sony FX1, and the SD cameras I'm looking at are the Canon GL2 and Sony VX2100 (I already have an xlr adapter, so there's no need for the PD170). How significant is the difference in picture sharpness and quality between the FX1, the VX2100 and the GL2? Thanks, -Mike |

Take a look at the interview with Jan from Panasonic via the link below and see what she has to say about HDV vs P2. You'll need QuickTime to view the movie. The verdict is still out as to if the entire GOP gets taken out from a dropped frame. If anyone knows for sure, please let us know.
