Converting Interwise Participant Webinar (.vcm) files
Hello,
I have some videos that are recordings of webinars from a Interwise Participant Webinar with extension of .vcm. I am trying to convert them to a more standard file format such as AVI or mpg. Does anyone know of a tool or a way convert them? Thanks, Garrett |

Re: Converting Interwise Participant Webinar (.vcm) files
Being a bit of a codec hound, I did some quick research, with surprising results.
Apparently .vcm is a compressed archive that contains multiple data types that represent the record of the webcast. Presumably some are raster-type video and image data, and some are vector-type, slides, whiteboards, or whatnot. If this is true, then there likely won't be a conversion method that preserves both data types. There is a brute-force method, which would be to use the interwise player and screencap the results. Looks like interwise is now AT&T Connect. Maybe someone with direct experience with vcm/interwise can give a better answer...

Thanks Seth, I was afraid that would be the answer.
