Motorized Backdrop Lift System
Hello,
I'm in the midst of a new studio construction looking for ideas/suggestions for motorized backdrops/lifts. I'd like to have something in the 16ft to 18ft wide range - with 20ft long screens. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Thanks! |

It's not clear from your question whether you'll be working with a full-height fly for fixed scenery, or if you're looking for a motorized solution for background paper and muslin/canvas on rolls. Assuming the latter, Manfrotto makes a series of bits and pieces that can be assembled into various configs.
Search at B&H or your favorite camera store for "Manfrotto roller" and you'll find various hangers, chaindrives for manual roll up/down, motorized up/down, stand adapters, etc.
