Kodak ZX1
Dell was blowing out the ZX1 for $35 a pop. At that price point you could ignore the lens and just use it for sound reinforcement (the ZX1 accepts an external mic).

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen any indication in the product reviews, write-ups, or listed specifications to indicate that this older model accepts external mics. To my knowledge, the Zi8 is the only model in Kodak's current pocket camcorder lineup that is so equipped.
Can you verify that feature specification for the ZX1? -Jon
