What do you mean by regular video, and can you be more specific about what you mean by "difference," which is a very broad term...

MiniDV is for small movies, and regular video is for full sized :)

Perhaps this person is interested in the "differences" between DV and VHS, or perhaps digital vs. analog... but I wish he or she would clarify which differences... re: format, etc. The question is a little *too* broad.
