DVM60 Premium "PR4" tapes?

Hi.

I've just taken delivery of a bulk order of new Sony DVM60 Premium tapes and see it's states on the packaging they are PR4 when I have recieved in the past PR3s.

My question is, what's the difference (if any). I can't seem to find any reference to Mini DV "PR4" tapes.

The packaging is slightly different - in the past I receive the ones with the child on. Has Sony changed the packaging on their Mini DV DVM60 Premium tapes?

Thanks

claire,

I order them in bulk and have seen them in two different packages, the standard blue and I received a large order that were yellow/Orangish. No difference as far as I know, definitely not in the recording!!

Thanks for that Dale. I have some head cleaning tapes that are blue, but they went in the bin.

But no-one heard of PR4? Oh well I guess I'll just have to run some tests and see what happens.

Added pics: My regular tapes on the left; tape in question on the right.

Hi Claire.
Can I ask why the blue head cleaning tapes went in the bin? I've just bought some and they are blue, is there a problem with them?

Hi George.

Sorry about that George - just my way of saying I use head cleaning tapes very very sparingly. I got four free with my bulk order.

Hope I didn't spook you?

:)

From where do you order in bulk?

I am looking for a cheapest solution.

I am from Malta, Europe.

Thanks,
