Josh most festivals want a vhs for selection, and if your movie is accepted, then the sorta standard is betacam, and slowly becomming dvd.

The last issue of WIRED noted that this year DVD player sales have (est.) exceeded VCR sales or will certainly do so next year. You can now buy DVD players for under $75 at Wall-Mart.
It's hard to imagine that DVD will not quickly become the medium of choice for independent distrubition for all sorts of purposes, including festivals, in the very near future. |
