When will we see a GY-DV5000U Review?

Just curious if the JVC GY-DV5000U was actually out yet, and when will we see a review.

Interested in how good the frame mode is and how the camera stacks up against the Panasonic DV200

If this is the camera you mean:
http://pro.jvc.com/prof/Attributes/f...l_id=MDL100101

it's been available for some time. I think I've seen it reviewed a few times. In fact, the JVC page refers to a DVFormat.com review.

I believe the 5000 (replacement for the 500) has just started shipping in limited numbers. I have a client that just ordered one and his dealer told him to expect delivery within about 2 weeks.

Mine is on the way for an evaluation.

It is NOT replacing the JVC GY DV500.
They will both co-exist together.
Much like the SONY DSR-250 and the DSR 570. LOU

My client has been told his is on its way also. He has a job for me to shoot with it later in the week so I'll post some comments and thoughts by next weekend. Do you know what lens yours is coming with? My client is going with a Fujinon 18:1 that he already owns.

Lou and Jeff, I hope you'll both allow me to post your reviews on DV Info Net -- so much other stuff to upload first of course -- thanks in advance,

The camera will come with the 16X Canon. I currently have the 19X Canon, upgraded 116 EVF with the BBC EVF JVC extender.

The JVC 5000 will have a tweaked 115U EVF-much like the X2B.
