Web Video jumpy
Recently I've noticed with many of the videos that I view online that the playback is very jumpy as is the sound. It is particularly so with widescreen videos. Is it just that there is more HD stuff coming online or is this a problem with my bandwidth, or something in my computer like my graphics card.
My computer is a few years old now, a Mac Powerbook running OSX 10.4.11. It handles my HDV editing OK, albeit quite slowly. Any ideas thanks

First thing to do would be to download a file from the web so that you can play it from the hard drive on your Mac. This way we can rule out the internet connection.

Look at the load bar at the bottom of the player; if it runs ahead of the play position indicator, your internet is fast enough.
