conversion to Sony HDcam format?

Hi. I shot a movie using a Canon XL1s camera using frame mode. Edited using Premiere. Now I need to get the movie into the Sony HDcam format for a film festival.

Anyone know the best way to do this? Where can this be done? What's the cost?

Thanks.

Hi Robert,

You're not too far from Dallas, and you'll find plenty of facilities there that can do an HD Cam bump for you. Consult the Yellow Pages and try calling around; I think ECI Video downtown offers this service. Please report back and let us know what you find out regarding rates.

They wont take DigiBeta? Most the huge festivals will take DigiBeta... I know Toronto will.

From Sundance 2006 application

I was hoping for just Beta, but Sundance only has 3 options:

For exhibition at the festival, your film must be on 35mm, 16mm or Sony HD Cam. If you have made your film in a different format, you must convert to one of these three.

You dont need to do that for submission, just after it is accepted.
