"Pen Size" Camera
Hi All,
We are interested in buying "pen sized" cameras for use in wildlife fliming work. This would mean strapping one of these guys on the pilot's cape, maybe one on the helicopter's strut etc. 1. Any idea which type of "pen sized" camera would suit our needs? 2. Any information on these cameras, i.e. websites? 3. What would you use as the recorder (i.e small video tapes)? 4. Could these be hooked on the Xl1s? 5. Any other advice/tips. Many thanks! |

I've seen one that a guy makes and sells on Ebay, seach for helmet camera. It runs a wire from the camera itself to any type of recorder with composite in. MiniDV, D8, Hi-8, VHS, anything.

All Electronics, a surplus electronics distributor, sells miniature cameras quite cheaply. Here's their website:
www.allcorp.com Do a search on "camera" and you'll find them. Call and ask for a catalogue -- it lists specs. |

I think these http://www.interlog.com/~microvid/tube.htm might be what you're looking for. I've seen these used as helmet cams, dog cams, etc.
