Visiting La, Hollywood, ...
to the moderators : Sorry, If this post is not put in the right forum, but I couldn't find anything where to post it
I'm from Belgium and I will be visiting La & Hollywood in 2 weeks, but I haven't been there yet. While loving everything about movie-making etc, would you suggest doing something specifically overthere ? I was thinking of doing the 5-hour deluxe tour in Warner Bros ? While it's not cheap, is it well worth the money ? They also offer a much cheaper 2 hour tour. I'm open for every suggestion. ;o) |

I spent a fair amount of my career on the WB lot, and the VIP tour there is far different than something like Universal, because it's a real working studio rather than an amusement park. You have a better chance of seeing some real production going on -- it may be your best bet unless you know someone who can get you on a set somewhere.
Right now most series are probably winding down for the season, but pilot production should be ramping up, so you stand a good chance of seeing some real activity. Also, while you are there you could probably pick up tickets to see some audience (sitcom) TV shows shot, which is a whole different art form. Finally, I think there may be some websites which tell you what daily production is going on, on location around the city.
