Newtek Tricaster or other switcher
Hi All.
I have been looking for a small video switcher for doing some live sports webcasts. As this is only a hobby for now I do not want to spend A LOT of money on equipment but i guess i cant make money without spending it, but here goes. I currently have a Panasonic WJ-MX12 that is quickly becoming inadequate as i now have 3 cameras and starting to get into chroma key. I would like a switcher that can handle this. I have been looking at Newtek Tricaster and really for now the only one i can justify looking at is the Tricaster DUO. I have seen used switchers such as the Panasonic MX-50 and MX-20 and some new datavideo productions such as SE-500 and SE-800. Anyone have any recommendations for one? I have tried the Videonics MX-Pro but the video switching delay is not that great for say a live hockey game or anything fast motion. Thanks Mark |

I have been using a Tricaster Pro for several years. It's a great product and I highly recommend NewTek.
