What file format should I use to archive video?

For archiving, my client is asking for a video file of a project I produced. My question is, since there is no preference or indication of format (or file size), what is a reasonable format to go with (Quicktime, H.264, MPEG2)?

I shot in SD Widescreen (720x480) in the Quicktime format (I recorded onto a hard drive).
