16:9 Bars
Which cams place the fake 16:9 bars at the top and bottom of the footage? Well, since I'm going straight to DV and video does the GL2, VX2K or DVX100 have the fake 16:9 bars that crop the top and bottom of you footage?

The GL2 and XL1s can both display 16:9 guides in their viewfinders. But they do not "crop" footage. They also have 16:9 modes which adjust the image electronically for that aspect ratio. Use the Search button to read much more about the Canon cams' 16:9 features, as this is a topic that has been well covered here many times. Also, Adam Wilt's site (adamwilt.com) features a good technical overview of Canon's 16:9 facility.
