WinDV not splitting footage
I used the program a ton in the last 2 years and it always worked fine, splitting the footage every time the record button was pressed on the tape. Today it stopped working. I tried 3 different tapes, and it won`t split the footage. Any idea why the program would just stop working properly? There is no uninstall so I can`t reinstall it. I also did not install any other capture software that would conflict. :\ I tried 2 different firewire cables, thats also not the issue. Using a Canon XH-A1
I tried asecond software that is supposed to split the footage, it also did not work. Now I am really confused.

Is it the same camera you have been using in the past? It could be the stamp date set-up on the XHA1 has not been set? I am not familiar with the XHA1 but this happened to me when I borrowed an XL1, the stamp date has not been set-up so Premiere can't do a scene detect capture.

Ah yea, when I turn the cam on it says the date and time are not set. Will that solve the issue or will the tapes not work still since they were likely recorded without the date set? Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. There's nothing you can do about it, just set the date/time for the next shoot so your software can auto detect the scene when you capture.
