Hey guys

I've got a personal project I'm working on for the web:

Flying Lizard Sim GT

Simulation race replays are recorded and edited to fit as race highlight/recap videos. I want to follow the general format of a racing broadcast as you'd see on TV. While it won't concern audio commentary (none will be there, I don't have a commentator voice - and I'd just be speaking of my own race performance generally...), I want to use things like the "live" ticker. This will display perhaps top 5 lap times, what gear I'm in, what position in the race... things of that order.

So anyway, I know how to accomplish this in Vegas, but I was hoping to find general articles on things like these to help guide me as to what works best, or what's right/wrong. It's very hard finding such info...
