White balance question on VX2100
I'm wanting to use some filters my 2100 and have some questions. Can you leave the camera set for daylight and have the auto meter work or once you set the camera in a preset white balance (daylight) does the iris need to be set manually?
thanks! dirk dkfletcher@aol.com |

White balance and iris settings really have nothing to do with each other. What are you using the filters for? Do you want to change the color of everything? If so then you could use the daylight white balance and see how you like the effect. The WB SHIFT custom preset and make this either warmer or cooler to suit your taste.
If you don't want the filter to change the color of your video, then screw it on first, then do a manual white balance. Either way, this has nothing to do with the iris settings. You can still use that in either manual or auto mode. If you use auto mode then the camera will compensate for the filter since it takes its readings through it. |
