You're a little late the the dance, Lee... DV Info members have already banded together once before and created not just a movie, but an entire series... see the Credits section near the bottom of this page: "All the Executive Producers are "wranglers" (moderators) at the DVInfo.net forums."
Check in our Announcements forum for Dylan Couper's DV Info Net online film contest if you want to be a part of that deal (and I know you do). Hope this helps, |

On the original topic...
With the Panasonic HVX200 coming out and hi-def finally being available at an affordable price... Plus I'm betting more than one of us is getting this camera fairly soon after the release date. So how about we field test these bad boys in a group project? Then if planned properly... We could be the first movie done on the Panny 200... And every indie filmmaker out there would want to view the movie just to see what the new camera can do. So if we create a set of unique characters and a good arc (that's fairly easy), do three 30 minute segments in a Sin City type of story format, then this shoot could easily be planned around people's schedules. Any other ideas? Maybe do it in the horror genre... Because horror fans are usually the most open minded about small budgets... Zombies maybe? Anywho this can all be sorted fairly quick once the ball get to rolling. So if anyone else is interested in doing something like this... I would gladly volunteer some time and money for a worthwhile project. Later guys... I got to get back to work. |
